The World School Hockey Championship is the ONLY invitational sporting event featuring the world's best men's and women's school hockey programs. The speed and quality of play will leave no one indifferent!
24 teams from 4 corners of the globe will be competing for top honours and academic scholarships.
Two academic scholarships will also be awarded to the student-athlete who stands out for his academic performance and involvement on and off the ice.
Young student-athletes will have the chance to take part in 3 renowned conferences, attend a musical performance by Jonathan Roy, and play a minimum of 3 games on an NHL-sized rink.
Come and cheer on our youngsters!
The WSHC will take place from October 3rd to 8th, 2023, in Montreal, Canada at the Complexe JC Perreault (Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan). The atmosphere of our event will be warm, inviting, and family-friendly. We wish to welcome people in a friendly and professional manner to ensure that a healthy team spirit prevails.
Men's and women's teams from the U16, U18 and U20 categories will be analysed in detail, then selected according to the quality of their academic program as well as their hockey program.
To offer an experience that lives up to the expectations of the players and the members of the support staff, we have put together a committed team made up of 10 people. In addition, we will be able to rely on more than 50 volunteers who will work together with the team to ensure the success of the championship.
The WSHC’s short-term vision is to establish itself as a prestigious elite championship for school hockey teams on an international level. In the long term, we hope to become THE essential school hockey Championship on a global scale.
The WSHC’s mission is to offer young athletes the possibility to shine in their academic career as well as the athletic discipline that they practice. We wish to emphasize inclusion by promoting cultural diversity and racial, sexual, and gender equality in the context of our event. Conferences will be offered to instill fundamental values in young student athletes.
Our ultimate goal is to build a multi-sport academy 100%-funded by the WSHC.
